PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Ms. Tablada brings broad, cross-functional qualifications in the construction, design, and project management arena. With 35+ years of project management experience, she has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. Ms. Tablada is an innovative problem solver whose focus is on adding value while controlling cost. She is articulate, self-driven, and results oriented. Over the past ten years, her focus has been in education – planning, managing, and executing projects.
As a former business owner of a highly successful project planning and management firm for 18 years, she understands the driving forces behind projects of all size and complexity. Her clients included many Fortune 100 companies in the southeast as well as several federal agencies. Her business model was one of managing all project resources including contractor, architect, IT, and vendors to ensure a successful project from initiation to move-in. She sold her firm to an international company.
After serving on the Board of Directors of a private school, Ms. Tablada later served as Director of Facilities and Planning for eight years for the school and church. With responsibility for a seven days per week operation on four campuses, she oversaw almost 400,000 square feet of space. During those years she was responsible for over $32 million in capital projects including the completion of a 33-acre athletic campus, multiple campus renovations projects including a theater, and a new 50,000 square foot high school building which included a cafeteria. She understands school operations from the inside – a skill that consultants rarely bring to a project. Having managed complex facilities, she looks at each project with a unique eye for design, functionality, and ongoing maintenance costs.
